Terms of Service

The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Ravi (“we”, “us”), who runs AnyStatement. By using AnyStatement you accept them, together with the Privacy Policy. If you use it for a business or for clients, you accept these terms for that business too, and confirm you may do so.

You must be at least 18 years old to use AnyStatement.

What the service does

AnyStatement converts PDF bank and credit card statements into spreadsheets and accounting files, and checks each statement against its printed balances. Files and results are deleted 24 hours after upload, or, for a batch you choose to keep while signed in, on the date shown on the batch (at most 30 days), so download what you need before then. We keep improving the service, which means features may change.

Accounts

You can use AnyStatement without an account. If you create one, sign-in is handled by WorkOS; keep access to your sign-in method secure, because you’re responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at support@anystatement.com if you think someone else has used it.

Acceptable use

Upload only documents you own or are authorised to process, for example a client’s statements with that client’s permission. Don’t use AnyStatement to:

• break the law or anyone’s rights, or process documents obtained without permission;
• get around usage limits or free allowances, for example with multiple accounts, repeated anonymous sessions or rotating IP addresses;
• scrape the site, or access the service by automated means other than the website’s normal use;
• upload malware or files built to attack the service, probe or test its security without our written permission, or disrupt it for others;
• resell or provide access to the service to others without our permission.

Found a security issue? Please report it to support@anystatement.com; good-faith reports are welcome.

Pages, plans and billing

How pages are counted

One page of a PDF counts as one page, and only pages that hold at least one transaction count (at least one page per conversion); pages without transactions are free. Pages are counted when a conversion adds up to its printed balances. Nothing is counted for a statement we can’t verify unless you choose to unlock it. When you unlock a statement, its pages count. Failed conversions and exporting again are never counted, and neither is uploading the same PDF again while the first copy is still here. Deleting a preview you haven’t unlocked costs nothing. Pages already used aren’t returned when you delete a file. When you don’t have enough pages, the statement still converts and you see a preview until you add pages.

Plans

• Free: 3 pages a day without an account, or 30 pages a calendar month with one. Free allowances may change.
• Page packs are one-time purchases, valid for 12 months from purchase. They work with any plan and are used after your monthly allowance.
• Pro is billed monthly or annually and includes a monthly allowance of pages, renewed each month from your billing date (also on the annual plan). Unused allowance doesn’t carry over to the next month.

Current prices and allowances are on the pricing page. Prices are in US dollars; sales tax is added where it applies.

Renewal and cancellation

Pro renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price you agreed to, until you cancel. Cancel any time in Account → Manage billing (the billing portal, run by Stripe); you keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Switching between monthly and annual billing is done in the same place, and Stripe adjusts the charge for the time remaining.

If we change Pro’s price, we’ll tell you in advance, and the new price applies only from a renewal after that notice. If a payment fails, Stripe retries it for a while and Pro continues meanwhile; if it still fails, Pro ends.

Deleting your account cancels Pro immediately, without a refund for the rest of the period, and removes any unused pages and packs.

Refunds

If you haven’t used any pages from a pack, we’ll refund it in full when you ask within 14 days of purchase: write to support@anystatement.com. Apart from that, payments are not refundable, including partial subscription periods and unused pages, except where the law requires a refund. A refunded pack’s unused pages are removed, and so are a pack’s unused pages if a payment dispute is decided against it. If you think we charged you in error, tell us and we’ll put it right.

Promotions, trials and complimentary access

• Trials, discounts and promotion codes follow the terms shown with the offer. They have no cash value, can’t be transferred, and a free trial is offered once per customer.
• A trial without a card simply ends; nothing is charged. If you add a card, Pro continues at the regular price when the trial ends, unless you cancel before then.
• We may give complimentary Pro time or bonus pages at our discretion. They run until the date we tell you and can’t be exchanged for money.
• We may end a promotion at any time; offers already applied to your purchase are kept.

Accuracy: please check the results

AnyStatement reads statements with software, including OCR and AI. Every statement is checked against its printed opening and closing balances, and we flag what doesn’t add up, but no extraction is perfect: a digit can be misread, a row missed, or a date or sign wrong, even when a statement reconciles.

Review the results against your original statements before you rely on them for tax returns, accounting, lending, legal matters or any other important purpose. AnyStatement is a conversion tool: it does not give financial, tax, accounting or legal advice.

Your content

Your documents and the results produced from them are yours. You give us a limited permission to store, copy and process them, including through our service providers, only to provide the service to you and only for as long as we keep them. We don’t use them to train AI models or for any other purpose. You’re responsible for having the right to upload them.

Our service

The AnyStatement software, website and brand belong to us. You may use the service as these terms allow, but not copy, modify or reverse engineer it. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you. AnyStatement isn’t affiliated with any bank, Intuit, Xero or Quicken; product names are trademarks of their owners.

Availability and limits

We work to keep AnyStatement available, but it may sometimes be unavailable, for example for maintenance or because of a problem with a provider. The service has limits, such as file size, pages per file, files per batch and daily usage, shown in the app, and they may change. At very busy times a conversion may fail or skip AI assistance; failed conversions are never counted.

We may change or stop parts of the service. If we stop AnyStatement altogether, we’ll give you reasonable notice and refund unused prepaid Pro time and the unused pages of unexpired packs, in proportion.

Ending your use

You can stop using AnyStatement at any time and delete your account in Account → Delete account.

We may suspend or close an account, or block access, if it breaks these terms, is used for fraud or abuse, or exposes us or others to legal risk. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we close a paid account without a breach of these terms on your part, we’ll refund unused prepaid amounts in proportion.

The sections on your content, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and disputes continue to apply after your use ends.

Other companies’ services

Sign-in is provided by WorkOS (and Google if you sign in with it), and payments by Stripe. Their own terms apply to your use of their services.

Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows, AnyStatement is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its results will be complete or correct.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, or for penalties, interest or costs arising from tax filings or accounts based on the results, even if we were told they were possible.

Our total liability for all claims about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.

Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that can’t be waived.

Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of documents you uploaded without the right to, or because you broke these terms or the law, you’ll cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, including reasonable legal fees.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before bringing a claim, please write to support@anystatement.com so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. If we can’t, the dispute will be heard by the state or federal courts located in Washington State, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We change the date at the top, and for material changes we’ll tell you in advance, by email if you have an account and on this site. If you keep using AnyStatement after a change takes effect, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree, stop using it and delete your account.

General

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about AnyStatement. If a part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term isn’t a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms; we may transfer them to whoever takes over the service, such as a company formed to run it. We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. We send notices to the email address on your account.
